Kings Court offers a unique, fully inclusive fixed fee service, which means you know from the outset what it will cost. We do not charge any disbursements, there are no hidden costs and there is never a ‘ticking meter’.

One of our Probate Consultants will visit you, and the other Executors, in your own home to talk through how we can help you.  Once they have established the complexity of the estate, we will then quote you the fixed, fully-inclusive fee for all the work involved. This includes:

Preparing the initial agreements with the Executors

Drawing up schedules of assets and valuations

Contacting, as appropriate, all asset holders and creditors

Producing draft accounts for the estate and paying any inheritance tax from funds available

Preparing documentation for the Capital Taxes Office

Preparing documentation for the Probate Office

Making the application for the Grant of Probate

Calling in assets and putting them into a designated client account

Communication with all beneficiaries, including informing them of legacies and bequests

Distributing the estate as defined in the Will

Producing final accounts and closing the estate

Assuming all Executor liability in respect of the estate

An INSIGHT account, which allows you to monitor the progress of your case online.  Information is updated in real time and you can check your account as often as you like
